The John Robins Vibemail - Issue #14
Hello friend! It's your old pal Johnny JR here popping up in your inbox again like the comforting smell of frying onions drifting upstairs from a country kitchen / bothersome digital DJ hawking tickets for a live tour that DOESN'T EVEN START IN THIS TAX YEAR!
Whether you see me as an oniony aroma or BDDJ I do hope this missive finds you well. There are three key items on the agenda, and they will be addressed in the order they are stressing me out / exciting my creative juices! But first, I've been remiss in ensuring you know who it is these messages come from...

Why can't we just have nice things?
I don't know if you've been made aware by some automated announcement but the service through which this newsletter is hosted and delivered is shutting down. Revue is a very user friendly and convenient way for me to communicate important information (such as the below) to you, so the powers that be (E. Musk) have decided to shut it down. Far be it from me to suggest that Twitter's acquisition of Revue was a calculated move to purchase a competitor before wiping it from the face of the earth, I'll leave you to put two and two together on that.
Hearing this news just as I'm attempting to sell my biggest tour to date caused some audible consternation in Robins HQ, however, I am reliably informed by people far more tach savvy than myself that this isn't the catastrophe I assumed it to be. More brighteningly, there is nothing you the consumer / fan / glutton for punishment have to do. Just don't freak out if future emails come from a different provider in a different format. It's likely to be through Substack and will, of course, remain free and your subscription will be seamlessly transferred across.
To brighter things!
John's So-Low New Year's Eve Eve
It's become a tradition of sorts for Elis and I to continue the streamed shows we began in lockdown every New Year's Eve Eve (Dec 30th). And though Elis will be literally in Lapland on a much needed holiday with his washing machine (all £7k's worth), I am not the kind of guy that just gives up on digital content.
So please join me online at 8pm where I will be asking some carefully selected guests "What are you bringing to the party?"
Tickets are here
£1 from every ticket sold goes to Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (https://www.standingtogether.org.uk/)

Farewell
It's somewhat inevitable that I will be back on your digital doorstep again soon. Another date for Howl in Leeds is incoming. But to lessen your inbox load I may just whack that on the old socials. So do follow me on Twitter (https://twitter.com/nomadicrevery) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/nomadic_revery) If I don't speak to you before Christmas I hope you navigate it's joys and moments of strain with as even a keel as the boatswains of your mind can maintain. Much love to you all, and to all a good night.
